THE CITY OF ROSES

If you didn't already know, Portland is a beautiful town brimming with fun stuff to do, pretty things to look at and groovy goods to buy (sans sales tax, thanks to a paranoid electorate and bloated property taxes). For the out-of-towner and local alike, here's some info about our fair city.

HOTELS

First things first: you gotta sleep. We have booked a block of rooms at the Inn at Northrup Station. The hotel is located in the heart of the NW district, home of more trendy shops than you can shake a stick at (I know, I've tried). It's also right on the tram line so if you want to go downtown (or anywhere else for that matter -- including the wedding site) it's just a quick jaunt away. If you choose to go with this option, just give them a call and tell them you're with the Ghormley/Vichit-Vadakan wedding and they'll give you a wink and nudge and book your room at a special rate ($119/night, I believe).

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BOOK BY MAY 15th TO RECEIVE THE GROUP RATE.

There are, of course, many more hotel options in town: from the youth hostel at $30/night to the Heathman penthouse at god-knows-how-much. If you would like to explore more options please let us know and we will get you a list of recommended crash pads.

ACTIVITIES

What to do when you're not watching us get married

Well, I could spend a whole website talking about my favorite things to do in Portland, but I'll try to restrict myself here to a few basic highlights.
