Much later, dinner at Marsala Zone in Soho, a good compromise between flavor and expediency. Even though it sounds like a dreadful chain restaurant, it's actually a bit nicer than that and, more importantly, the food was good. The dishes ranged in quality from perfectly acceptable (i.e., better than most anything I can get in Portland) to really quite good. My chicken coromandel was in the later category and was truly spicy – something I don't really expect from Indian restaurants at home.
Sorry, no pics of the food, but here's a cute animal painted on their wall.
