Rock 'n' Sole Place: This is the place mentioned by all the guide books as the fish 'n' chips shop to check out. That should have tipped me off.
We ordered gherkins and coleslaw to start, plus cod, skate and cod roe – with plenty of chips, of course. The cod roe (shown here) was near unpalatable (tasted of cat food, not least because it had come from a can). |
